Help me give my students a literacy rich environment. Hands on learning is the best way for preschoolers to learn. Using peg boards and stamps, will give the children a fun experience while learning letters.
I teach 20 preschool children with varying levels and abilities. I have a diverse group of students who reflect multiple languages and cultures. I have a great opportunity to work with families and students who bring a unique perspective to the classroom and change how I view the world.
They are all unique in their strengths and enjoy working together to help each other learn.
My students love sharing stories about topics that interest them and LOVE music and movement time in the classroom. My students are builders and artists who are not afraid to let their imaginations carry them away.
Preschoolers learn best through hands on learning. The best way for preschoolers to learn letters is by experience. When preschoolers are introduced to letters throughout the day in many different ways, it helps them to make connections.
Upper and lower case stamps and peg boards, will help create a literacy rich classroom environment.
An environment rich in language and literacy, helps stimulates letter identification and curiosity in words. A literacy rich environment helps promote beginning reading skills. When children are curious about what letters and then words mean in their environment, it creates a curiosity for learning all they can.
