My Project

Our classroom is a beautiful group of diverse young learners. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, many of our students did not attend preschool and pre-K but they still arrive at school ready to learn each day.

In kindergarten, learning is not just academic, but social learning is just as important.

Social-emotional learning is a huge part of our daily curriculum. Students are learning to identify their emotions and feelings and practicing what to do when big, uncomfortable feelings arise. This is especially important as our students spent their formative years in quarantine.

This Little Spot series will complement our district-mandated curriculum and help us delve further into the individual feelings which are the topic of each book. Many of the books such as Responsibility and Respect directly correlate with our school's expectations. The tiny plushies will be a perfect visual aid for students.
