Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are resourceful and ingenious! They are creative and take pride in thinking outside the box. They are awesome collaborators and have created a family amongst themselves.

My students are no strangers to adversity but wear their scars with pride.

They have gone through a pandemic together and have learned to cherish the little moments. There is a lot of work to do both emotionally and academically, but they are each willing to put in the work.

My Project

I'm a first time teacher at a middle school in Santa Ana Ca. I am teacher to an amazing class of sixth graders. They are resourceful and ingenious! They surprise me everyday with their creativity and the pride they take in thinking outside the box. They are awesome collaborators and have created a family amongst themselves. However, as a first time educator I do not have the resources to help organize our classroom.

I am requesting book shelves and storage bins.

This year we have been blessed with an entire new set of textbooks. However, my classroom is relatively bare. Storage space is scarce, and my kiddos are currently growing in boxes.

Having the appropriate supplies in designated locations allows both students and educators the opportunity to focus on the content of the lesson. Spending less time on supply distribution and making transitions seamless. Please help me and my students prioritize our learning!

The money donated today will go to purchasing book shelves and storage bins. It will help to provide my kiddos with a well organized and calming space. There is so much chaos in the world, they do not need to come into more a space with more.
