Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am honored to teach a class of 24 amazing first-grade students in a diverse, Title I community located in the inner-city. It is in one of the country's largest cities where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. They represent many beautiful ethnicities and come to school with a love for learning, ready to show others what they've learned.
During this pandemic, I am eager to provide them with meaningful instruction and needed resources to support their learning.
Despite our many challenges, my little learners truly enjoy our time together. They have remained 100% resilient.
My Project
To ensure the safety of my first graders during this ongoing pandemic, frequent hand sanitation is a requirement. Many parents may not have the means to send each student with their personal hand sanitizer, so having a hands-free hand sanitizer dispenser in our classroom will help all of us be germ-free. The KN95 face masks will allow me to stay safe and healthy for my little learners each day.
Having these items in our classroom will give us all peace of mind.
