My Project

As a behavior specialist, I’m often called to support students in their most vulnerable moments—when they’re upset, overwhelmed, or struggling to manage their emotions. These are the times when they need someone to simply be there for them, to help them find calm and regain control.

Sensory and emotional needs run deep for students with disabilities, and without the right support, these moments can become overwhelming barriers to their growth and happiness.

Many of the students I work with have Autism, intellectual disabilities, or have experienced trauma. They need a safe haven where they can find peace, regain strength, and feel empowered to keep moving forward.

I’m passionate about creating a calm, safe space where these students can take a breath, feel understood, and gently find their way back to balance. This Calm Down Corner is more than just a space—it’s a lifeline. It’s a place where students are met with patience, compassion, and tools to help them through their toughest times.

But I cannot do this alone. I need your help to build this sanctuary—a place where every student feels safe, supported, and valued. Your support means giving these children a chance to feel seen, heard, and cared for when they need it most.

Together, we can create a haven of calm in a world that often feels overwhelming to them. Thank you for standing with me and these incredible kids on their journey toward healing and hope.
