A Place to Read and Belong!

Help me give my students a beautiful rug to sit on for reading time with the librarian and on their own. The stools are a blessing for the older kids to sit at a table and read!

My Students

My students are important to me. When the students come into the library I call them "mine" for the short time I have them. This brings in a sense of belonging and worth to my students. They want to show me their best! They have an enthusiasm for reading and are anxious to come to the library to see what is new on the shelves. Their eyes light up when I introduce a topic and show them the wonderful resources to glean from. Many are not fortunate enough to have their favorite books at home; so it is satisfying to see them hugging their book as they walk out!

My Project

I am excited to welcome my students to their new library where they will have a comfortable space to sit and listen to stories or be by themselves to experience an adventure in their books.

These beautiful rugs will allow children to find their space in the library where they can sit as a class or with a friend or just to be alone with their book.

I am especially excited for the older kids to use the stools if they are not comfortable sitting on the ground.

These rugs and stools will transform our library for everyone!
