Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Welcome to our half-day blended Pre-K classroom, where 40 amazing 3-5-year-olds learn, play, and grow! Our classroom is filled with curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning. As we work to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all learners, we need a few essential items to help our classroom run smoothly: a shelving storage unit and a chair for students and teachers to lead story time.

An organized classroom makes a difference!

Our students learn through play, exploration, and hands-on activities. We use a variety of materials throughout the day to support early literacy, math, creativity, social-emotional development, and independent learning. Without adequate shelving, keeping classroom supplies organized and accessible can be challenging. A shelving unit will help students store materials used for whole group and small groups. With this unit, woven baskets will be utilized by students for an easy clean up and transition.

As we work with young learners, we spend time supporting students during small-group lessons, assisting with activities, observing their progress, and providing individualized attention. Having a designated chair will help support these interactions while guiding students through their learning experiences. The chair will also be used by the students when coming up to help the teacher by holding a book, leading a part in the lesson etc.

Our classroom includes students with a variety of learning needs, including children who benefit from individualized support and predictable routines. A well-organized environment helps students be self efficient. They can help themselves in finding what they need.
