My Project

My first graders are curious, energetic, and excited to learn. As students in a Title I school, they thrive in a classroom that is welcoming, organized, and filled with hands-on learning opportunities. Every day they rotate through literacy centers, work together on the carpet for read-alouds, and use a variety of classroom materials that help make learning meaningful and engaging. An organized classroom allows my students to become more independent, take ownership of their learning, and spend more time focused on instruction instead of searching for supplies.

A classroom storage organizer will help create an organized learning environment where every item has a designated place.

This organizer will be used to neatly store our classroom materials, literacy center supplies, and carpet squares that students use daily during reading instruction.

Having a dedicated storage system will allow students to quickly access and return materials independently. Our carpet squares are an important part of our reading area because they provide each child with a comfortable personal space during read-alouds, partner reading, and small-group instruction. Currently, without proper storage, these materials can become stacked in corners or difficult for young learners to manage on their own.

By organizing our classroom resources, we will reduce transition time, keep our learning spaces tidy, and help students develop responsibility for classroom materials.
