My students need a place to store the books that they are currently reading. To increase their love for reading, students will have time for independent reading each day and need a place for their books.

My Students

I have a class of 33 5th graders in a large urban area.

5th grade is a huge growing experience for students, and I do my best to ensure that they are prepared for middle school, high school, and beyond.

To do this to the best of my ability, I would like to ensure that all students have the necessary supplies to succeed in class.

When the students are equipped with the proper supplies, they are more excited about their learning and engaged in class.

My Project

The students in my classroom will be given time every day for independent reading.

To increase engagement and excitement for reading, students will have a classroom library of books to read from, but they need a place to store their books.

These pocket organizers will allow students to keep their books at their desks for easy access, and will also help to keep the books in good condition.

The storage pockets will also allow students to easily find their books without having to go through different book bins or their desk. These will allow students to keep track of the books that they are currently reading.
