Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Core to developing a strong sense of self are safe and supportive learning environments that foster inclusion and belonging and promote self-discovery and exploration. These spaces are equally important in the many aspects of a child life including school, home, and the community. I want my student to feel motivated to come into the calming space to effectively calm down.

The overall goal of the calming corner is to provide the child with a space in which they'll feel safe recognizing and regulating their emotions in a healthy way.

Students are our future leaders and I want them to learn how to be emotionally independent, brave, and encouraged.
