My Project

Thanks to DonorsChoose and other donations, our classroom library has been increasing in diversity and in size! We have outgrown our bookshelves and now many of our books are housed in buckets and totes because they just don't fit.

We need a book cart to add to our classroom library space so that students can easily access books.

Students love reading and sharing our books, but when they aren't organized - they get frustrated. We have lots of new books but not a lot of space to put them. This new book cart would allow more books to be in the hands of students on a regular basis. It would also reduce some of the frustration students feel when they can't find the book they're looking for because the bookshelf is stuffed, or extra books are stuck in crates and totes. This new book cart would make all of our books accessible to all of our students (and teachers) so that they can be easily found and used in the classroom. Our goal is to have books in the hands of students every day and this project would help make the books we have accessible and available.
