Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The MacBook and AirPods will allow more students to learn and compete in the FIRST LEGO League competition. We want to give all of our students an opportunity to further their knowledge of basic engineering design and programming, problem-solving, and building.

The FIRST LEGO League competition is helping our students work together, while solving real-world problems.

Our students not only learn to code, but get to build robots. The MacBook will be used to program the robots using the Spike Prime software. It will also help them with their research project which is one of four categories in this competition. Students will also use the MacBook and AirPods to create slides presentations and technological STEAM-based projects. We want to inspire as many students as possible in our robotics program. Our population consists of students with disabilities as well as English Language Learners (ELL). Our students are on their way to an engineering path by building and programming robots. This will be instrumental in their learning and development of engineering skills.
