This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching students in two languages. Their low income background makes them a very resourceful, resilient, and innovative bunch. Even though the school can't provide all the necessary technology, and I can't either, thanks to your help, the inclusion of technological learning aids will be a great advantage to a bunch of kids that are already motivated!

Unfortunately, some of these students are behind on reading so they rather read along to audio books.

This isn't always possible because they don't all have headphones and having multiple kids listening to books outloud is not effective.

My Project

In this digital age teaching, itself, has become a very hybrid profession. Oftentimes, some of the best resources are represented through digital media. For this reason, I try to incorporate technology into my classroom as much as possible by providing informational videos, digital manipulatives and any other form of electronic teaching aids I can use to be more effective.

Having 20+ computers blaring at once can make learning difficult.

Having access to headphones would be a great benefit to my students and would also allow me to complete daily lessons with minimal distractions or interruptions.

This is a request to replace equipment that has been lost or damaged in the class. The equipment will be supporting two separate classrooms this time, not mine alone.
