A Cozy Reading Corner for Kindergarteners!

Help me give my students a rotating bookshelf tower, a table lamp, books, a small rug, and other items to create a cozy reading area where reading is fun!

My Project

Books have the power to spark imagination, build vocabulary, and create lifelong readers. I want to transform a corner of our kindergarten classroom into a warm, inviting reading space where students are excited to pick up a book throughout the day.

A rotating bookshelf will make books easy for little hands to browse independently, while display stands will showcase favorite stories and encourage children to explore new titles.

Adding the Clark the Shark series is a fun connection to our classroom with me (Mrs. Clark), making reading even more personal and memorable for my students.

This project will create a cozy reading nook that students will be drawn to again and again. Soft cordless lights, a couple of audiobooks, a cuddly shark plush, and even a shark outfit for our classroom goose will turn our library into a cheerful, welcoming space that makes reading feel like an adventure. My hope is that every child will see our classroom library as a place where they can curl up with a great book, grow their confidence as readers, and develop a genuine love of literacy that lasts well beyond kindergarten.
