Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Pre-K students spend a large part of their day learning together on the carpet. We use our classroom rug for morning meetings, read alouds, movement activities, social-emotional lessons, and building classroom community. Our current rug is too small for all of my little learners to comfortably sit and participate together.

A larger classroom rug would give my students a safe, cozy, and welcoming space where they can learn, collaborate, and grow friendships each day.

Having enough space for every child helps create an inclusive environment where all students feel like they belong and are excited to learn.
