My Project

My classroom in on the second floor of a 110-year-old building. During the cold winter months of the school year my classroom is still reading 90 plus degrees on the thermometer, making it very uncomfortable for my students. During the day, I see kids in grades ranging from kindergarten through 4th grade. My classroom consists of students with many diverse backgrounds including special educations students and English Language Learner students. Being distracted due to the hot and humid temperature in the classroom make it difficult for students to stay focused and succeed.

The portable air conditioner will be a great addition to my classroom and provide the students with the support they need.

This will allow my students to better regulate themselves and focus on learning as well as have greater educational and social emotional success here at school. I want to give my students a space that is comfortable for them to remain focused throughout their time with me and we work cooperatively to learn.
