My Project

My students are working hard each day they come to school. They do their best to get to school despite some challenges like random weather that closes school, or busses constantly breaking down throughout the year.

One thing that is also inconsistent is our ac unit.

Many times, our trailer/outdoor unit has had problems until it finally gave out. We received a new unit, but to no avail as it too, is not consistently working. A portable air conditioning unit would allow us to plug it up and keep our learning conditions consistently hospitable. No more working in the room that gets up to eighty-four degrees (and it's not even Spring yet). The curtains will help keep in the temperatures at positive working conditions for the students. We will not be anxious for the spring temperatures that are soon to come.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
