A Classroom Reading Library for Us All

My Project

My students and I discussed how the internet can positively and negatively impact our learning. We have students who are obsessed with content on their phones so we chose to create a classroom reading library with books solely based on student-interests. This was important since our class is comprised of students who have a wide-range of abilities and unique interests. This is a student-driven project and they have a vested interest in seeing how their ideas can come to life and continually impact them every time they're in class. This is also part of their reading comprehensive intervention package in hopes to increase their quarterly reading comprehension scores. My goal as their teacher is to help them realize their plans for improved reading scores and recognize them as active agents in their learning. I'd also like their reading comprehension scores to improve.
