This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our entire school is coming together to read Solimar and the Sword of the Monarch Butterfly, and I want my second graders to fully be part of this shared experience. By providing each student with their own copy, they can follow along, stay engaged, and participate confidently in discussions happening across the school.

Having a personal copy also allows students to take the book home, revisit the story, and keep it as a meaningful souvenir of this special, school-wide reading experience.
