This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The carpet is the home base for my first-grade class. We come together to not only learn curriculum but to learn about each other. We cultivate friendships and make endless memories on the carpet. We learn all subjects on the carpet - from reading to math to science. This is where students are able to not only hear about my interests but learn about each other.

My school is very diverse in cultures, and this carpet would help the students see themselves and others represented.
