My Project

In my social studies classroom, students engage with the world through multimedia resources, historical videos, podcasts, and interactive online activities. However, two challenges are holding my students back: distractions from background noise and harsh fluorescent lighting that makes it hard for them to focus. To create a more effective learning environment, I am requesting a class set of headphones and soft fluorescent light covers.

The headphones will help my students dive deeper into multimedia lessons without being distracted by classroom noise.

Whether listening to a podcast on the Civil Rights Movement, watching a documentary on ancient civilizations, or participating in virtual history simulations, having quality headphones will allow them to focus on the content and work at their own pace.

In addition, the fluorescent light covers will help create a more comfortable and calming atmosphere. The bright, harsh lights in our classroom often lead to headaches and eye strain, making it difficult for students to concentrate. By diffusing the light with soft covers, I hope to provide an environment where students feel more at ease and can better focus on their studies.

With these resources, my students will benefit from a more focused, comfortable, and engaging learning environment.
