Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students in Corona, Queens are mostly bilingual learners. It is imperative that students have access to color ink, and not just the black ink that teachers are given.

When students see words, ideas, and pictures in color, it enables them to understand things more clearly.

We already have the color printer, thanks to DonorsChoose, however we are in need of more color ink! My goal for this school year is to give my students the resources they need to succeed. When children have access to pictures, words, or ideas in real time color, it enables them to understand the concept a little better.

Allowing students to receive work in color ink, and not just black and white, allows for differentiation and modification within the classroom.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
