This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

East View High School is a majority minority campus. We qualify for Title 1 funding, however we have not applied for it in the past. While we have a large population of students who are economically disadvantaged, that doesn't define us.

We are defined by the family atmosphere of our campus.

Students genuinely take care of each other and the faculty and administration put the kids first. Supporting our project is contributing to the best and brightest parts of our society.

My Project

These incentive spirometers will give our students a way to measure their progress and success as we work toward increasing breathing capacity. Our band is a tight knit family, where every member matters. Supporting this project to purchase this equipment will provide each and every individual to the tools necessary to make an equal contribution to the group's sound and power.

This technology while simple, tried and true for measuring inspiration and respiration, will motivate my students with a change of pace in practicing breathing as well as give them measurable data to demonstrate their increased abilities.

Providing students with a way to see their progress is key to creating change both in their learning and in their motivation to excel. Thank you!!
