This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at a title 1 school in Tempe AZ. We have a diverse population of 1400 students. The campus has been open for over 50 years. It is an older school with few amenities. I would like to start a project that will help provide a better classroom learning experience.

It is my goal to get a new Epson projector and laptop computer to stream videos, documentaries, PowerPoint lecture notes, Kahoot's and Prezi Presentations.

There are limited bulbs and laptops in our district. I currently use a computer that is 7 years old and doesn't connect to any of the printers on campus. My current projector is also 7 years old and the bulb is so old that the image is dull and hard to see. As a class, my students do a presentation every quarter, it is embarrassing that they have to present on out dated equipment.

I want to help cultivate and encourage 21st century learners. I would like to be able to provide my students with an experience that will get them ready for their life post secondary education.
