My Students

The majority of my students live in poverty. We have approximately 99% of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunches. With your support and your donations, our special needs students will receive a more engaging experience in the classroom which will result in overall student success and help them meet their Individual Educational Plan goals.

My students' disabilities include specific learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, speech and language disabilities, hearing impairments, other health impairments, orthopedic impairments, auditory processing deficits, fine/gross motor needs, physical therapy needs, occupational therapy needs, and autism.

My students have deficits in reading, writing, math, and ​everyday life skills. They require instruction and constant modeling to learn necessary foundational skills across subjects (math, word decoding, reading fluency, letter-sounds, syllabication, and more), social skills, and functional skills that will help them be successful in life

My Project

Since the pandemic began, every teacher across the nation has had to level up their skills and upgrade the tools in their teaching tool kits dramatically, often with limited and inefficient technology. Computers are needed in the classroom. This laptop will put virtual field trips, thousands of online books, interactive lessons, and STEM activities and experiments right at students' fingertips.

Computers support learning in every subject area and allow students to read, investigate, and explore what interests them.

Please help me give my students the best opportunity they can have to stay on top of their learning in these challenging times by supporting teachers like me who are committed to making this school year as memorable and engaging as possible.
