Your kindness has brought so much joy and comfort to our program, and its impact is felt every single day.\r\n\r\nFor many of our children, a snack might be the only chance they have to refuel between school and home. Your donation ensures that every child has something nutritious to eat, which helps them stay focused, energized, and ready to learn. A grumbling stomach can make it hard to concentrate on homework or participate fully in an activity, and thanks to you, that's one less thing our kids have to worry about.\r\n\r\nBut your gift is about more than just food; it's about community and care. While our original goal was to launch a full business project, time didn't allow us to get that far. Still, the students jumped right in; watching videos, reading articles, and learning how to use the machine and software. They quickly took the lead on the project, and I was amazed at how quickly they picked up the skills and how proud they were of their creations.\r\nLooking ahead, we are thrilled to continue this project in the spring. Our plan is to turn this into a real business venture, where students will create and sell designer water bottles for the rest of the school, as well as bumper stickers and hats. The circuit machine has opened up so many possibilities for creativity, entrepreneurship, and hands-on learning that will have a lasting impact on my students.\r\nThank you for making this possible. Your gift has done more than provide a home for fish, it has created a vibrant, living centerpiece that sparks curiosity, conversation, and calm every single day.\r\n\r\nOur aquarium has become a beloved part of our learning environment. Students gather around it to observe and discuss ecosystems, compare the habits and traits of the different species, and reflect on how living things interact and coexist. It's been amazing to watch their understanding of science deepen through such an engaging, hands-on experience.\r\n\r\nCurrently, our aquarium is home to 5 medium white fish, 7 colorful small mollies, 7 Cory catfish, 1 stunning orange and blue Clown Lotus, 2 large bottom feeders (we originally thought were algae eaters!), 3 tiny algae eaters, and 3 very entertaining aquatic frogs. The tank is truly alive with movement, color, and lots of personality.\r\n\r\nBeyond the learning, the aquarium has brought a sense of peace and joy to our space. At the end of a long day, I often find myself sitting quietly with the lights off, just watching the gentle motions of the fish. It is incredibly calming. Students from other classes frequently stop by just to look and talk about what's new in the tank. Even our principal makes it a point to visit daily. The students have lovingly reserved a chair just for her in front of the aquarium, knowing how much she enjoys those moments of quiet.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and for making such a lasting impact on our classroom. Through my instruction I aim to cultivate a fun environment with books that are provided and expose students to ones not provided. \r\nAt reading time students find a spot to listen to a read aloud, the students sit close enough to others so they can discuss questions that are posed by the teacher and students. Students also have a few minutes to read independently and a few minutes to share what they have read. The students also have an opportunity to make connections to the text to share if they have any experience with events from their story of choice or the class read aloud. \r\nThe students are enjoying the new book as they locate a comfortable spot and talk with classmates about the events in the story.
