This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A classroom area rug is an integral part of our 1st grade classroom. The classroom rug is where a lot of our learning takes place. Many math centers and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) activities occur on our rug. Unfortunately, we no longer have a classroom rug as our old one was ruined during COVID.

Carpet time supports both academic and social emotional skills.

Our classroom rug is where students will begin and end their day. Students will sing, collaborate, and play on our rug. This rug will ensure students have a place to talk and play. . This rug will also provide a welcoming environment for current and future students. Thank you so much for supporting our project!
