My Students

The students in my kindergarten classroom are a complete hoot! They are amazing to watch learn and grow. My classroom focuses on meeting students' needs in a variety of ways. Most of my students receive either free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. Others have difficult life situations that bring distractions to their learning day.

My students are filled with joy, creativity, positivity, and most of all, a love for learning.

Even though they are faced with so many challenges, they are still very eager to learn each and every day. A school is a place for exploration, new learning, new adventures, and having fun! I have some of the best students around.

My Project

We are slowly working on making our classroom 1:1 with technology. We currently have some very old computers in our classroom that just don't cut it! I'd love to be able to equip my entire class with their own iPad. In the past at a 1:1 school, my students were able to use the Seesaw app to record their reading, writing, math, build video collages and SO much more.

1:1 iPads will help make my kindergarten students accountable for their work.

Their parents were able to have an inside look into what we do every single day in our classroom. Currently, it's difficult to rotate the iPads that we have to allow each student time to record their learning for their digital portfolio. Some of my quietest students LOVE recording their reading using the iPad, while they are reluctant to read in a loud voice to me.
