Besides getting a snack it is a relaxing time for them to share and talk with their friends. \r\n\r\nOur school is 100% free lunch. All of my students receive a free hot lunch daily. Our lunch time is at 10:40 so by 2:30 when we start dismissal the children are hungry. Having a snack by 2:00 helps them make it until dinner time.\r\n\r\nThey loved the popcorn the best! Our school had a popcorn machine already so I cleaned it up and it was ready to go. When you are a teacher there is so much more involved than just academics. Teachers wear many hats. We are mothers, grandmothers, nurses, doctors, scientists, inventors, explorers, students, artists, crafters and the list goes on. We must discover what helps our children. \r\n\r\nThe teacher books that you helped supply gave me plans to introduce social emotional skills to my children and how we all can learn how to deal with these emotions and/or situations. It lets us practice certain situations ahead of time so they know what to do in various situations. \r\n\r\nThe children have loved the fidget toys. Besides being in the \"Calming Corner\", they like to watch them at free time. They love watching the toy inside slowly slide back down the tube after they hit the button. It is fun watching the children play with them.\r\n\r\nThe children's books are a great benefit. My children love any story being read to them. They sit so still and absorb the stories. These particular stories are good at opening up discussions about our feelings and a positive way to deal with those feelings. When classes leave the store, excitement travels through the halls as others see what is being purchased and if it is something they want to add to their list.\r\n Without your donations, the Eagle Store would not be. Schools cannot purchase incentives with supply money, and since those are the funds that most teachers can use, it leaves us with few alternatives.
