My Students

My students just love the DVD resource materials for the reading series "Reading Street". The students need the projector in order to view the academic resources on Comprehension, Grammar, Spelling and Writing activities which are on DVD. Unfortunately, projector usage is limited, but necessary.

Our class consist of 30 4th graders who are inquisitive, energetic, and love to be engaged in interesting and enjoyable learning activities.

They look forward to starting the day's learning activities, and are disappointed when we don't have the necessary equipment. Like many students, they are technology savoy and want to use the resources and materials that are often unavailable.

My Project

This is a new reading series for our school this year. I just love the materials and resources available. However, I am often stifled when the technology equipments is unavailable for the lesson. Especially since most of the Comprehension, Grammar, Spelling and Writing activities are on DVD. The projector is needed in order for the entire classroom to view the lesson being taught.

It is imperative that a projector is available in order to teach the Language Art series "Reading Street".

When technology equipment is unavailable, I feel stifled and am limited to resources that are necessary in order to teach the lesson. I really enjoy this reading series and feel the student will benefit greatly with it.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
