My Students

Repetition....repetition... It take many times to commit a standard to memory and my answer is technology, with the help of Hot Dots!

I teach at a Title 1 school in Livermore, CA.

We try so hard to find new and different ways to help out students get the standards. My students are trying so hard to understand the second grade standards, but many of them don't have the fun and exciting technology to make learning easier and enjoyable.

My Project

I would like to get the Hot Dots program into my classroom. I'm asking for the Hot Dots program for both math and language arts. I would like to get the program to help with math facts, spelling patterns, telling time, fractions, and comprehension. I can't tell you what an impact this technology would have in my classroom. Hot Dots offers a fun system to practice the "tricky" second grade standards with technology. My students would have so much fun working with the Hot Dot pens with their math facts, spelling patterns, telling time, fractions, and comprehension. They would use the Hot Dot program during literacy centers and math centers. The Hot Dot program offers the student the opportunity to work on their own on a standard that may be a bit "tricky" for them and this is why I want to get the Hot Dots into my classroom.

I hope you are able to lend us a hand in getting the Hot Dot program into my classroom.

It is amazing and I wish I could bring it into my classroom on my own, but my budget doesn't allow it. Help make our learning "hot" with bringing the Hot Dot program into my class.
