Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Science can be an intimidating subject, but I want to change that for my students by providing a fun and interactive way to learn about science.

I have 28 fifth grade students who are the highlight of my day and take up most of my thoughts.

Some of the students spend a lot of time on the school bus to make it to school each day. They attend a magnet school in Nevada where they work hard and take their education seriously.

My Project

Learning while playing a game never quite feels like learning. The students will be actively engaged in science lessons and be able to see how science works around us. These game and interactive CD-ROM will give my students a chance to learn the content while still being a kid at heart.

This project is important to me because I want my students to have a passion for science like I do.

The more they enjoy what they are learning, the more inclined they will be to conduct further research on their own.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
