My Leadership Class students will inspire 2000 student leaders from across the state. My school is a rural, high poverty level school. Only 33% of our high school students attend college. The percentage of students who actually obtain a college degree is shockingly lower than that. My Leadership Class consists of 10th through 12th graders and they are the cream of the crop at our school.

My Leadership Class will be hosting the state student council workshop in the fall of 2011. Over 2000 student leaders from across the state will be attending this three day workshop. Orchestrating this workshop is a once in a life time experience for the members of my Leadership Class. This process will enable my students to see a world that is outside the city limits of our rural town. This process will challenge my students to perform at a level never imagined. This process will encourage my students to dream of attending college and striving for more.

My Leadership Class desperately needs 2 notebook computers. The key to creating a quality event of this magnitude is organization. My students need technology to create the workshop they envision.

Your donation will provide computers that will allow my students to be organized. Your donation will allow my students to create a quality workshop that over 2000 student leaders from across the state will attend. Your donation will touch the lives of my students every day but will ultimately effect the leadership development of student across the state.
