The drama classes at Skiatook first began reading Alice in Wonderland scripts about five years ago. Students loved the story but putting the show on stage did not seem practical because of the cost and costumes. We read at least five versions of the play over the years and each year students grew more interested in performing.\r\n\r\nThe show became possible this year because of support from the Skiatook School Education Support Foundation. YOUR donation allowed us to purchase the last few costume items needed to put the show on stage. \r\n\r\nThe students were thrilled to have the support of the costumes. Most wanted to immediately put the costumes on and begin to \"play\" the characters. The costumes allowed many students to believe that the show was going to happen for the first time.\r\n\r\nWe hope to use the costumes again in the future. Thank you again.","fullyFundedDate":1770661492453,"projectUrl":"project/alice-in-wonderland-on-stage/10076352/","projectTitle":"Alice In Wonderland On Stage","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Denslow","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp521596_orig.jpg?crop=951,951,x0,y3&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723518265120","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/521596"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_42091","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":685,"numTeachers":44,"percentFrplEligible":58,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":52,"percentIndigenous":17,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":68.1,"schoolId":42091,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Skiatook High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Skiatook High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/skiatook-public-schools/skiatook-high-school/42091"}
