We Will Have It Forever

My students need a laminator and laminating pouches.

This project expired on June 27, 2010.

I teach seventh and eighth grade English Language Arts in an inner city, high need school. Our school actually shares a building with two other schools, and our space and resources are limited. My school is supportive but lacks the resources to get us enough of the supplies we need.

So here is the issue. I take pictures of the kids on trips or of different things for them to write about creatively. I give them examples of work to read and review, and we have a constant issue with things becoming worn out. Students love our writing and reading workshops; however, they lack quality supplies and have some pictures that they love to write about that are worn out, so they can not clearly see all of the details.

We need a laminator to help us maintain our charts and learning aids so that the can endure the rigorous use they undergo on a daily basis. We also create stories and poems for the younger students in our schools that they want to display. If we had a laminator and the laminating pouches, we could preserve our work and memories forever.

With your generosity we would be able to maintain our supplies for future use. The pictures in our classroom would stay looking new and we would always have a classroom that is inspiring and encouraging to every learner.
