I teach high school Social Studies (US History, World History, Government/Economics, Civics, and Basic Law) in a high need, low-income urban area.

This is the first year of many that I will be teaching the elective class Basic Law. Students have shown high interest in this class. A sample textbook and teacher's guide were provided through the publisher, but additional texts were and are not within my school's budget.

I would like to have a classroom set of 20 Street Law texts for my students. I have chosen this text because instead of being your run of the mill, generally boring text, this presents real-life and relevant information for today's teen-aged citizen. My students will have the opportunity to understand what their responsibilities are concerning local, state, and national law. They will also attain an understanding of how to properly conduct themselves when faced with potentially negative legal situations. In short, they will have the opportunity to begin growing into good United States' citizens.

Your time and donation to this project will help my students, and give you the potential opportunity to become productive and knowledgeable citizens. You, the potential donor, will provide a piece of the puzzle towards better instruction and best practice for my students.
