8th grade, Middle School Science Teacher, over 50% free & reduced lunch with a high level of ESL and ELL student population.

More than half of the student population start off the school year without classroom materials and supplies. This is a set-back for those without supplies and is a disadvantage to those who have to wait.

In order to ensure that all students begin on the same level it is would be very advantageous if they all had a notebook and glue to start the year off.

With whatever help that can be given, this will allow for less wasted classroom time. This will allow me to spend extra time doing enrichment work with my students, instead of using time for catching up.
