When I Say Tut You Say… What, King Tut? Ah, yes, King Tut. He is one of the most eminent pharaohs during the ancient Egyptian years. If that doesn’t impress you, he also restored God's sacred to their society that were once “extinct”. Although he ruled for nine short years, we know a lot about King Tutankhamun because the amazing discovery of his tomb. As a 4th grade Social Studies enthusiast at a Title I school, having my students experience a live exhibit will enable them to enter the world of the ancient Egyptians. My students are enthralled with world history and have a certain “respect” for people in the past. The Egyptian culture is very mysterious and unique. My students are naturally curious about the Egyptian culture and King Tut. Their questions would be answered through artifacts, pictures and various other exhibits if they were able to attend this wonderful exhibition. I want to take the entire 4th grade to the wonderful King Tut exhibit at The Children’s Museum in Indianapolis this summer. Many of my students have never been to a museum; therefore they cannot appreciate the beauty and rich history that these places possess. This is a once in a life time experience for many of them, and they will leave the museum with knowledge that they will carry with them forever. My students will need assistance with transportation and admission to the museum. We will need help with the cost of two school buses and tickets. With this donation, you will be contributing towards the education of children.
