  • We Love Coding With Our BFF Botley

    Funded Apr 24, 2018

These robots have made more of a difference than I could have imagined. I have students who are not in my class coming to me after school wanting to learn and explore with the robots. They have taken a huge interest in coding the robots. They have gone beyond what was included in the kits and have even invented their own robot games to play. It is amazing what they can do with the robots! They have become very interested in learning about the different careers involving robotics and coding. Thank you for opening up a whole new world for them.”

  • We Have the Math Curriculum Just Not the Tools!

    Funded Mar 22, 2018

Thank you for your generosity. The interactive whiteboard has made a huge impact in our classroom already. It is even better than I could have imagined. My kids are much more engaged in our lessons. They love being able to come up front and use the pen to help solve math problems. We have even learned how to incorporate it into our reading lessons. They are able to highlight or underline important things in the texts we are reading. There are numerous educational games we are now able to play on ActivInspire that we were unable to play before. My kids love it! Thank you so much for giving us this new technology!”

  • STEM Supplies for Title 1 Scientists

    Funded Mar 6, 2018

My after school students have had a blast using these STEM supplies. They became engineers and worked together to construct a bridge that would withstand the most weight. They also became architects to design the best looking bridge. Next, they worked together to build the tallest tower possible out of the supplies given. They have had so much fun exploring and learning! Every morning they excitedly ask me, "What are we doing in after school today?!?!" Thank you so much for bringing fun into our classroom!”

  • Do, Doo, Doo, Do, Do...Help Us Play Jeopardy!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for providing wireless electronic buzzers. When my students first pulled them out of the box they screamed with excitement. They immediately started playing with them. We have had a blast playing many different games with them. The students love that we can now play Jeopardy correctly. They are so excited about them that they have even come up with their own ways to use the buzzers in the classroom. Now, instead of raising their hands they prefer to use the buzzer. We really appreciate your gratitude. Thank you so much for donating to our classroom!”

  • Hydration and Healthy Snacks Help Us Focus on Learning!

    Funded Jan 26, 2018

My students all cheered when they saw all the snack boxes. They could not believe how many snacks you had donated for them. They do not complain of being hungry anymore! Our school is part of the Healthy Schools Initiative. These healthy snacks have shown my students that there are other snacks besides greasy chips and takis. The wide assortment has allowed them to try new snacks and discover what healthy snacks are their favorites.

The water bottles have been a big hit with the students. My amazing Mother was able to put each of their names on their water bottles with Vinyl. These water bottles are their favorite things! They carry them everywhere with them. They are now able to stay hydrated without leaving class for water.

    Thank you so much!”

  • These Growing Readers Need Harder Books!

    Funded Dec 31, 2017

Now that my kids are older we are working on comprehending longer texts. These new chapter books allow them to find something they are interested in so that we may work on understanding a text that is longer than 5-7 pages. This is such an important skill for them to work on!

We are working on several different skills with these longer texts. In our lessons we are placing sticky notes on pages that contain important events, questions they might have, words they don't know, and connections they make to real life experiences. They love writing on the sticky notes and placing them in their books. These chapter books have made

working on comprehension fun for them.

My kids were all super excited about the books. They all picked a book out to take home the very first day we received them. They returned them and discussed what they read about. They have been talking to each other about what they have read and are recommending books to their friends. This is helping them to become what we call "social readers". It is a very important lifelong skill to develop. Thank you so much for supporting my students and helping to continue their love for reading!”

  • Lots Of Choices For Our Good Choice Books!

    Funded Oct 17, 2016

These books have made a huge difference in my students' lives. My students eagerly come to me after school to check out new books to use in their classroom. They are so excited to have so many choices of books that are actually on their reading level. They love to tell me everything they are reading about and I can tell their comprehension is getting better. They are happy to be able to use their books and apply it to grade level standards in their classroom. Thank you so much for your generous donations!”

  • Let's Make Learning Bilingual with an iPad!

    Funded Feb 12, 2016

My students and I are so thankful for the wonderful donations for our classroom. Having an iPad as an educational tool in our classroom has made learning so much easier for my students. My students are now able to deepen their understanding in the classroom by using apps in their native language, Spanish. Several students in particular have seen an immense benefit from having an iPad as a learning tool. You have forever changed their lives. I really appreciate your generosity. Thank you so much!”

  • We Like To Move It, Move It!

    Funded Mar 10, 2016

My students and I cannot express how thankful we are for your generous donations. These chairs have truly changed our classroom. When my students first opened their boxes, their entire faces lit up. You could see the joy and excitement in their eyes. Several of the kids started hugging the chairs and jumping up and down.

Since opening the boxes the excitement over the chairs has not dwindled. They still love being able to sit in these chairs every single day. It has helped my energetic students focus. Their energy is now used in a productive way that still allows them to focus on learning. I really cannot thank you enough for forever changing our classroom.”
