Because of you, our students now have access to headphones, mousepads, and Apple Pencils that are already making a meaningful difference in their learning experience—especially for our bilingual learners.\r\n\r\nThe headphones have been a game-changer for language development. Our students are able to focus more deeply during listening activities, language assessments, and small-group instruction without distractions. This has been especially impactful for bilingual learners who rely heavily on clear audio to build vocabulary, pronunciation, and comprehension in both English and Spanish.","fullyFundedDate":1769177485612,"projectUrl":"project/soaring-through-summit-k12-for-ell-and-e/9761012/","projectTitle":"Soaring Through Summit K12 for ELL and Emergent Bilingual","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McDuell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3623363_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1464317428761","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3623363"},{"teacherId":582844,"projectId":9452044,"letterContent":"We are using the new carpet every day, and it has quickly become the heart of our classroom. One special moment happened during a read-aloud when all of my students were able to gather comfortably in one space, sit safely, and stay focused from beginning to end. Having a defined, welcoming area has made whole-group lessons smoother and more engaging, especially for students who need structure and a calm place to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the carpet, their faces lit up. Many of them immediately chose their favorite spots and asked when we could start using it. The carpet instantly created a sense of community and belonging, and students were noticeably more attentive and respectful during lessons.\r\n\r\nThanks to our donors, the next steps for our students include using the carpet for daily morning meetings, reading lessons, and collaborative discussions. It will continue to support listening skills, classroom routines, and positive social interactions. Your generosity has given my students more than just a classroom item, you've given them a comfortable, inclusive space where learning and connection can grow.
