My Students

"Stop slouching!" "Sit Straight!" How many times were you told this growing up?

My students constantly hear these words.

However, even when they try to sit up, their desk chairs make it hard for them to maintain good posture. The seats are hard and unconformable. This discomfort not only affects their posture but also impedes on their ability to focus.

My Project

In my class, we have one seat cushion. When a student gets an opportunity to use it, his or her ability to both sit and focus, are instantaneously improved. The students often speculate about how much easier it would be to learn, if they could all have cushions.

Obtaining these cushions will improve both their physical health by reducing their risk of back problems and their intellectual abilities by increasing their ability to focus.

These cushions are one small change that can make a huge difference!
