My students need a LCD projector to view PowerPoint presentations and media clips relating to Consumer Math.

My Students

My Consumer Math students (mostly seniors) are happy to be in class. They desperately want to learn how to balance their checking account or buy a car. They look forward to learning.

My students are eager learners.

They want to learn about how to buy a house or a car. They want to learn via media clips about insurance and the life financial cycle. We play Monopoly and the Game of Life to show how life really is. They are students that are about to go into the real world and live life.

My Project

With this projector, my students will be able to view media clips via You Tube. They will also be able to watch films that relate to Consumer Math, including the Money Pit, where a couple buys a house and it does nothing but cost them money. We also discuss careers. We use the computer labs to do up-to-date research about the career of their choice.

My project will help many students besides just mine.

It will aid many other classes. As I only teach 3 out of 4 blocks, and only one block is Consumer Math, I will be able to lend the projector to other teachers in the school to use for their projects and media discussions.
