Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help keep us active! My students have made a pledge to commit to be fit. It has been a challenge with only one soccer ball and two jump ropes that fill up our equipment bag.
There is one word to describe my group of fourth graders, AMAZING!
They are enthusiastic about school and learning and they work extremely hard everyday. They look forward to their daily recess time. They believe that having structured recess time helps them perform better in school. They know they must exercise their minds and bodies daily. They attend a Title I school in Arizona.
My Project
I have requested a play parachute, scoop loop throwing game, jump ropes, hula hoops and a variety of sports balls. These resources will be used in playground games and sports that will help develop my student's physical, social, and emotional development. Many of the behavioral problems that occur during recess are a result of student boredom. If students had these materials they would be ale to check them out during independent recess. They would also be used during structured whole class recess. This would result in decreased behavioral problems. These resources will contribute to a quality recess experience for my students.

I will be able to plan more engaging recess games for my students. I feel that through these resources I will be able to launch a lifetime of moving, learning, and fun for my students.
