My Students

It takes thousands, millions of years to form a rock. How can we see that in the classroom?

My students are the first in my middle school to take high school Earth Science.

We are a Title 1 school in a rural area with a high population of minorities. Regardless of socioeconomic status or ethnicity, my students continue to strive for excellence! My students ask questions and they LOVE knowledge! They will not sleep through these videos, I PROMISE!!!!

My Project

The rock cycle is a large piece of the high school Earth Science curriculum. These videos will bring excitement and clear understanding of the rock cycle as this is difficult to accomplish with inquiry learning and a hands on lab. These videos are imperative to understanding changes that occur over many thousands and millions of years.

Please help me create a spark!

When I learned about the rock cycle, I learned by reading a textbook and looking at pictures. I was bored and not interested! I don't want to rob my students of the opportunity to learn about the rock cycle as it is such a foundation to understanding about our Earth.
