I teach in a low income middle school. The school is located in a large urban setting. My classroom is a self contained classroom in a regular education building. All of my students are mentally or physically challenged.

My students have difficulties with understanding appropriate behaviors in and around school. It is hard to explain what walking in the hallway looks like or what inside voices sound like without good models. It is also hard to show appropriate behavior in the community when we are unable to travel to different destinations.

My students need 2 camcorders to help teach more appropriate behaviors in and around the community. It will also help me teach how to access the community by recording other teachers using things like the store, bus, and post office in their own community.

By your donation you can help make children a more productive and responsible member of their communities. By teaching about how to access the necessities and how act appropriately in these areas it gives them the opportunity to be more independent and give them the self-confidence.
