Keeping Little Hands and Heads Warm

Help me give my students hats and gloves to stay warm during cold weather and outdoor recess and keep their hands warm so they can comfortably participate in activities.

My Project

Every child deserves to come to school feeling warm, comfortable, and ready to learn. This project will provide hats and gloves for my third-grade students who may need extra winter gear during the colder months.

As a teacher, I know that learning doesn't happen as easily when a child is cold, uncomfortable, or worried about not having the things they need.

During the winter months, I have students who come to school without a warm hat or gloves, and sometimes they have to spend recess with cold hands and ears.

I want to make sure that every one of my students has access to a warm hat and a pair of gloves when they need them. Something as simple as a hat and gloves can make a big difference in a child's day. It allows students to go outside for recess comfortably, participate in outdoor activities, and focus on their schoolwork instead of worrying about being cold.

My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels cared for and supported. Providing winter hats and gloves is one small way I can help meet my students' needs and remind them that their teacher and community care about them.
