My Project

My students deserve the opportunity to explore the world, even when travel is beyond their reach. In our rural Title I classroom, 100% of students receive free lunch, and many have never traveled outside our county. A comfortable chair and world-map rug will create an inviting space for students to study maps, geography, cultures, regions, and global connections. These resources support North Carolina Social Studies standards by strengthening geographic reasoning, spatial awareness, inquiry, historical context, and understanding relationships between people, places, and environments. I want to bring the world to them.
