Student will learn economics and personal finance by playing the classic board game Monopoly! Students will buy and sell real estate, learn banking functions, take out loans, etc. using the game. Students will play the game at school only. Students will play at the end of class, and on "Monopoly" Fridays. Students will be learning while playing a class game. One lesson will be not to use the money, but to use a checkbook register. Students will add, subtract, multiply and divide their finances using a register. This will allow students a chance to use a register in a fun way.
