My Project

My third-grade students are eager learners who thrive when they can see their learning displayed and celebrated throughout our classroom. As students tackle new concepts in reading, math, science, and writing, they benefit greatly from visual reminders that help them recall strategies and skills independently.

Anchor charts serve as powerful learning tools that make thinking visible.

Together, my students and I create charts during lessons that capture important concepts, problem-solving strategies, vocabulary, and key learning targets. These charts remain displayed throughout the year, allowing students to revisit and reference them whenever they need support.

Our classroom is in a rural community where many students benefit from having multiple opportunities to engage with and review new learning. Anchor charts provide an accessible resource that helps students build confidence and develop independence. Instead of immediately asking for help, students can often find the information they need by referring to a chart we created together.

With your support, we will be able to purchase chart paper to create engaging, colorful anchor charts across all subject areas. These visual tools will help students retain information, strengthen their understanding of grade-level standards, and foster a classroom environment where learning is always visible.
