My Project

In our elementary school, our students are constantly building new skills, making connections, and learning how to become independent thinkers. One of the most effective ways we support our students is through visual reminders that keep important learning topics accessible throughout the day. These topics include but are not limited to social-emotional learning skills, reading comprehension skills, and cultural awareness.

Anchor charts serve as powerful teaching tools that make learning visible.

Whether we are practicing reading strategies, building vocabulary, or learning social-emotional skills, having anchor charts provides students with clear, student-friendly references they can revisit throughout the school day independently.

With your donation, our school will be able to create an interactive learning environment for all of our learners throughout the building. I have selected posters to address social-emotional learning through motivation and inspiration. I have also selected posters to reinforce reading comprehension skills such as inferring, using context clues, and how to read and understand non-fiction. Additionally, I have chosen posters to highlight influential leaders in the African-American, Latino, and women culture to reflect the demographics of my school. Instead of learning disappearing when the lesson ends, the anchor charts will allow important strategies and concepts to remain accessible all year long.
